My work explores the rich traditions of Indian textiles. Through collaborations with craftspeople employing traditional techniques, including weaving, block printing and hand painting (Mata-ni-Pachedi), I allow the inherent aesthetics to absorb into my visual vocabulary. It is simply impossible not to be influenced by the visual richness around me, and by the intensity and complexity that typifies life in India.
